World Boxing Federation (WBF)
International Middleweight champion
Nika Bigvava, 7-7-2 (4), from
Georgia is set to defend his title
for the first time on December 14 in
Tbilisi.
Bigvava will take on South African
Jarred “Mr. Hollywood” Silverman, a
tough challenger who enters the
fight with an 11-4 (6) record.
24-year-old Bigvava won the WBF
title last May when he scored a
clear unanimous decision over
Zimbabwean Freeman Mabvongwe.
In his most recent bout he was
unlucky to only get a draw against
18-1 Bohdan Sobol in Latvia, proving
again that he is much better than
his mediocre record indicates.
For Silverman it is his second
opportunity to win a WBF title,
having lost a shot at African and
International Welterweight titles in
2017.
