The World Boxing Federation
announces its second World
Convention to take place in
Saarbrücken, capital of German
Federal State of Sarre, from
September 5 to 8, with the
planned highlight being a huge,
star-studded WBF championship
boxing event on Saturday night
at the traditional Saarlandhalle.
Delegates will reside in the
4-star superior Viktor’s
Residenz-Hotel, which is located
next to the German-French Garden
and is just a stone-throw away
from the French border.
“We are very happy to finally
have the opportunity to meet
with all our friends from the
big WBF family all over the
world again,” sighted WBF
President Howard Goldberg, “and
we thank everyone in
Saarbruecken for extending so
much help in order to get the
WBF World Convention to their
wonderful city.”
Saarbruecken in fact is a very
historic place, being first
mentioned in a document by
Emporer Otto III. more than
onethousand years ago.

the II. WBF World Convention
will be full announced in full
closer to the date, registration
begins with immediate effect
