The World Boxing
Federation’s second
World Convention takes
place in Saarbrücken,
capital of German
Federal State of Sarre,
from September 5 to 8,
with the planned
highlight being a huge,
star-studded WBF
championship boxing
event on Saturday night
at the traditional
Saarlandhalle.
Delegates will reside in
the
Best Western Victor's
Residenz-Hotel Rodenhof.

finally have the
opportunity to meet with
all our friends from the
big WBF family all over
the world again,”
sighted WBF President
Howard Goldberg, “and we
thank everyone in
Saarbruecken for
extending so much help
in order to get the WBF
World Convention to
their wonderful city.”
Saarbruecken in fact is
a very historic place,
being first mentioned in
a document by Emporer
Otto III. more than one
thousand years ago.

On Saturday night
(September 7) at the
Saarlandhalle in
Saarbruecken, Germany,
the World Boxing
Federation (WBF)

UPDATE: September 7 - 2013:
The third and
culminating day of the
World Boxing Federation
Convention in
Saarbruecken, Germany
started early with a
cultural program. The
delegates drove of to
nearby Voelklingen for a
special guided tour
through “Voelklinger
Huette”, which
constitutes the most
popular industrial
historical monument in
all of Germany and is
recognized as a world
heritage site.

UPDATE: September 6 - 2013:
The second day of the
WBF Convention began
early with a trip to the
world famous Karlsberg
Brewery in Homburg,
which hosted the day’s
proceedings. At first,
Ingo Barrabas, a
renowned referee and
judge as well as a
member of the WBF
Championship Committee,
held the ring officials
seminar, which dealt
with the preparation
officials are expected
to undergo and their
conduct requested prior
to a championship fight.

Even though delegates
flocked in all through
the day, the opening day
of the World Boxing
Federation Convention in
Saarbruecken, Germany
already saw a busy

confirmed for the big
fight show during the
WBF World Convention.
Promoter DOG Eventboxing
pencilled in local star
Juergen Doberstein,
14-1-1 (4), to make the
first defence of his WBF
Intercontinental super
middleweight title,
which he won in March
with a 12-round decision
over Spaniard Blas
Miguel Martinez.
Also, undefeated WBF
Womens Intercontinental
flyweight champion Raja
Amasheh, 15-0-1 (4),
from close-by Karlsruhe
jumps up one division to
vie for the vacant WBF
Womens World super
flyweight crown. Amasheh,
who made one defence of
the Intercontinental
belt she won last
October is finally
primed to crown her so
far perfect career with
her first shot at a
world championship.
