Sweden has a new world champion, as
Oscar “Golden Boy” Ahlin dethroned
reining World Boxing Federation
(WBF) Light Heavyweight titlist
Kambis Rahmani on Saturday, May 10.
At Jacy´z Hotel in Gothenburg,
former WBF Intercontinental champion
Ahlin prevailed in the biggest fight
of his career, stopping Germany´s
Rahmani in round six.
A professional since 2018, the new
WBF world champion improved his
professional record to 27-2 (21),
going unbeaten since 2016.
Rahmani, who had won the title in
April of 2024 and was making his
first defense, travels home at
14-2-1 (11).
